Louisville's own Don Wright has been turning heads and ears with his on-stage performances for 5 decades.
Don hit the stage at the tender age of 10 with his family's R&B band, "The Swinging Seven" often following Northern Indiana's the Jackson 5 in mid-west tours during that era. Don's versatile voice, dynamic stage presence and years on stage makes him a true Louisville Legend. Soul, R&B, blues, smooth jazz and hip-hop styles are all tucked nicely under his performance belt. Moreover, he is an accomplished drummer and percussionist , making the Louisville Legends Band one the most powerful drums and percussion shows in the Midwest. He has opened for Morris Day and the Times, The Neville Brothers, the Zap Band, The Emotions, The Temptations, Michael Cooper, The Manhattans and many other national touring artists including the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. In the Derby City, Don has performed with The Formula, 4 You, Stages and The Unlimited. |
